Fall Camporee

A weekend of outdoor adventure, campfire songs, and Girl Scout sisterhood.

Coming up

Camp Outer Rim

Join us for a weekend of outdoor adventure, campfire songs, and Girl Scout sisterhood. Fall Camporee brings together troops from across our service unit for two nights of camping, outdoor activities, and memories under the stars.

Our theme for 2026 is Camp Outer Rim — a space-themed adventure packed with cosmic activities, stellar teamwork, and galactic fun. Girl Scouts will explore new skills, make new friends, and enjoy an out-of-this-world weekend together.

Location, registration, arrival and departure times, troop assignments, activities, and meals are all shared directly with participating troops.

Be safe, be kind, have fun

Camp Rules

To help everyone have a safe, fun, and memorable weekend, all campers and adult volunteers are expected to follow these rules.

Be safe

  • Follow the Girl Scout Law.
  • Always practice the Buddy System — no one goes anywhere alone.
  • Wear closed-toe shoes.
  • Stay within camp boundaries and out of the parking lot.
  • Ask an adult if you need help.

Respect camp

  • Do not keep open food in tents or cabins.
  • Keep tent and cabin doors closed to help keep bugs out.
  • Turn off lights when they are not needed.
  • Clean up after yourself and practice Leave No Trace principles.
  • Only toilet paper and body waste may be placed in the toilets.

Be healthy

Wash or sanitize your hands:

  • Before meals
  • After using the restroom
  • After activities

Be considerate

  • Quiet time begins at 9:30 PM.
  • Be kind, helpful, and welcoming.
  • Help when you see something that needs to be done.
  • Try new things and meet new people.

Most importantly, have fun!

Before you pack

Camp Packing List

Mess kits are required for this event.

Please label all belongings with your camper’s name — Benicia Girl Scouts Service Unit isn’t responsible for misplaced or left-behind items. Pack in a backpack or duffel bag, not a suitcase, and arrive dressed for camp in comfortable clothing that may get dirty, with closed-toe shoes.

Adults may help gather belongings, but Girl Scouts should take the lead in packing their own bags — it builds independence and means she knows where to find her flashlight, toothbrush, and clothing once she’s at camp.

  • Overnight campers

Nights get very cold — pack clothes that layer, warm sleeping layers, and dry clothes for bed. Girl Scouts receive an event T-shirt at camp, and each brings one GORP ingredient; a sign-up list will be shared.

  • Saturday day campers

A lighter list — hat, jacket, water bottle, mess kit, sunscreen and insect repellent (non-aerosol), a GORP ingredient, and the three required forms above.

  • Adult volunteers

Same as overnight campers, plus extra blankets and a coffee mug. It gets very cold at overnight — bring more than you think you need.
