Here’s what the service unit has planned for the 2026–2027 Girl Scout season. All events and dates are subject to change.
Troop leaders should refer to the Benicia Girl Scouts Band group for the latest information. The group is private, so email us at events@beniciagirlscouts.com and we’ll send you an invitation to join.

Opening Ceremonies: Girl Scouts Assemble
Open the 2026–2027 season with a superhero-themed swap event at the Benicia Scout House. Popcorn and snow cones served by the service unit.

Coastal Cleanup
We’re taking part again in California Coastal Cleanup Day, the state’s largest annual volunteer event. This year’s event runs 9 AM to noon.

Girl Scout Open House
Have fun, make new friends, and find out what Girl Scouting in Benicia is all about. Open to new, current, and prospective Girl Scouts in grades K–12, their families, and anyone curious about joining or volunteering.

BSU-Q: Juliette’s Birthday
Join us as we celebrate the birthday of our founder, Juliette Gordon Low, who started Girl Scouts in Savannah, Georgia, in 1912.

Show your Girl Scout pride and walk with us in the annual Benicia Holiday Parade. Theme and further details to follow.

GSNorCal Discoveree
A council learning event — a day of workshops, training, and crafts, run by volunteers for volunteers. Open to troop leaders, volunteers, parents, and Ambassador Girl Scouts. More about Discoveree.

Cookie Rally
Kick off to the cookie season, including a cookie tasting. See the Cookie Program page for how the season works.

World Thinking Day
A day of international friendship, reflection on the global Girl Scout and Girl Guide community, and fundraising for Girl Scouts and Girl Guides worldwide.
World Thinking Day falls on February 22 each year. We hold ours in April so it doesn’t clash with cookie season.

Golden Gate Bridging Ceremony
A council-led tradition that marks the transition from Junior to Cadette with a walk across the Golden Gate Bridge. Open to Girl Scouts and families from GSNorCal and beyond. More about Golden Gate Bridging.

Closing Ceremonies & Recognition Ceremony
Close out the season together, including Recognition awards.
Your troop isn’t going? Come anyway. If you or your Girl Scout would like to attend an event her troop isn’t taking part in, you’re still more than welcome. Email events@beniciagirlscouts.com to register with the service unit.
